Liberty Cunningham has dreamed of being a professional trick rider since a toddler. Now, at just 12-years-old, that dream is reality.
Horses were not new to Liberty when she began trick riding. She is a 3rd-generation rodeo cowgirl and comes from a competitive rodeo family known for training quality barrel racing horses. Her older sister Lakin is a World Champion goat tyer and was the CNFR Rookie of the Year.
Liberty has ridden since she was a baby and began competing in youth rodeos at age 5. She was a Top 20 barrel racer at the National Little Britches Finals Rodeo in 2020 and has held several rodeo princess titles.

Liberty has performed at many large, prestigious rodeos and equine events throughout the United States. She and her equine partners have performed alongside some of the nation’s leading equestrian performers including top PRCA talent.
In addition to performing, she has also been a clinician at some of the largest equine expos in the nation where her clinics have filled the bleachers and were standing room only.
Liberty can be booked individually or as part of the Pegasus Riders, which offers additional performance options.
The Pegasus Riders are composed of Liberty, her best friend Maddy Gatrel and their many equine partners. In addition to Liberty’s Roman riding and trick riding talents, Maddy offers numerous equestrian liberty acts and a dressage act. Together the girls have amazing duo trick riding, aerial hammock and magic acts, and they offer additional clinician and demonstration options. Coach Jennifer Gatrel can also produce full-length equestrian shows.
